Greetings Greetings from CEO
Our company was established in 1970, a time when keeping pets was not as common as it is now. We have made it our motto to “communicate with our community through pets.” With offices located across the country from Hokkaido to Kyushu to act as a bridge between domestic and overseas manufacturers and distributors throughout the country, we have closely witnessed their passion for product development, as well as the love and affection of the owners toward their respective pets over the years. I believe that we have been able to grow our business thanks to this great learning experience.
As time passes, I am more confident than ever before in the idea that pets—once simply the objects of love and affection—are increasingly seen as providing something invaluable for people, such as by giving us comfort and helping children cultivate rich emotional lives. I think the fact that more people are now keeping pets inside their houses proves it. Pets are now growing into irreplaceable members of the family.
For pets to live a healthy happy life with their owners as part of the family, a wider variety of pet foods, pet supplies, and pet-related services are now available. We propose the creation of a store that not only offers various types of pets, such as dogs, cats, and reptiles, but also addresses regional characteristics and changes in the lifestyle of pets and their families. To make it happen, we hold internal training sessions regularly to make further improvements on our part so that every employee can make propositions with reliable knowledge and expertise in pets.
We are expanding our operations globally. In addition to our domestic locations, we are establishing locations in the United States and other overseas countries. In recent years, we have been receiving many inquiries from China and Southeast Asian countries. We intend to share our mature pet culture, along with our pet products, with these regions where the pet industry is now growing.
Our company was named Japell after “Japan Pet Life Library,” hoping to serve as a library where all things related to the lives of pets are collected and stored. To live up to this name, we are willing to make the best use of our insights into and know-how about pets that we have cultivated over the years so that we can give back to society at large. We will continue to open the way to a new future, hand in hand with all who are involved in the pet industry, both here in Japan and overseas.
Please wish us our continued success.
