Total Support

Fully Utilizing Know-How
as the No.1 to Support from All Aspects

JAPELL’s mission is to provide great satisfaction and peace of mind to our retail customers by fully utilizing know-how as the No.1 in the pet industry. To cultivate trust, it is important not only to supply products but also to improve and coordinate functions such as information, proposals, product development, systems, and logistics to fully support our customers' business strategies. Therefore, we have set up a system that can accurately capture consumer needs and trends of the times, and always provide flexible support from the customer's point of view.

JAPELL believes in the concept of "Goiittai" (Five Unities). Normally, for a wholesaling company like ours, it would be basic to conduct business with the three unities of ① our company, ② customer companies, and ③ supplier manufacturers. However, JAPELL adds two more: ④ consumers who buy the products and ⑤ pets, making it Five Unities. In other words, we work daily while being grateful for everything that surrounds us. We will continue to evolve for the sake of our customers and the pet industry by fully utilizing the know-how we have cultivated as a comprehensive pet trading company.

Retail Support

Information Provision

We provide up-to-date information, including product information, market trends, and local information, as well as analysis data tailored to each customer. In addition, real-time information unique to JAPELL, disseminated from our antenna shops and our base in Los Angeles, is also provided to assist our customers' sales activities.

Exhibitions

We hold a big event "Comprehensive Pet Exhibition" once a year, where about 150 manufacturers gather in one place. Already well-recognized in the industry as a lively trade show. Additionally, "JAPELL Pro Collection" targeting mainly pet shop owners is held once a year in the East and West. This exhibition specializes in products for specialty stores. These events also serve as information antennas for exploring market trends.

Simulation

Using data such as sales composition ratios by category, we conduct simulations on a virtual storefront on a computer after laying out actual products, and propose the optimal sales floor. Also, at each base, we have set up "simulation rooms" with shelves displaying actual products to better understand the needs of the field and make more relevant proposals.

Proposals

We propose high-value-added original plans based on various data analyzed by season and category. Moreover, we have built a system for thorough information sharing among sales staff through the "Planning Management・Sharing System," where proposal contents for regular customers, customer needs, and trend directions by each sales staff are quickly shared. This information sharing is also useful for the education of young sales staff.

Remote Meeting Support

To accommodate various follow-ups, JAPELL has set up dedicated remote meeting rooms.
We have a system in place that allows us to have business discussions any time, anywhere, and fully support our customers at all times.

Order Management System

Data Management System

JAPELL has introduced an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system to respond swiftly in operations, aiming to increase efficiency, speed, and accuracy in operations. Furthermore, we centrally manage a vast amount of order data gathered from all bases in our headquarters’ computers. This reduces mistakes in orders and payments. Also, data collected at the data center is checked and analyzed from various angles by each salesperson and utilized for information provision and proposals to customers.

Order System

To simplify the ordering process for specialty store customers who used to place orders by phone or fax, we have developed JAPELL's original system, JAPOSS (JAPELL Proshop Order Support System), which allows orders to be placed using a dedicated handy terminal. This helps reduce customers' workload in ordering and improves operational efficiency.

Logistics System

Logistics Management System

In logistics management, we also continuously evolve and improve our systems. We have developed and introduced a new logistics management system called the DC System (Distribution Center System), which uses handheld terminals to read product data at the time of receipt and shipment, enabling real-time tracking of product movements and inventory shortages. This system aims to enhance the accuracy of product distribution and improve the delivery rate.

Logistics Network

We have established logistics centers at various bases nationwide, forming a logistics network to provide faster and more detailed support.
